Open mics are where our performers hone their craft, trying out new jokes, refining old jokes in an environment where they aren’t worried about getting booed or jeopardizing future work. I think it’s pretty neat to see someone who writes on stage. Perhaps you’ll take the time to check one of these open mics out.
1st and 3rd Mondays:
Un-Manic Mondays Open Mic
Not a stand-up specific open mic per se, but at least 2 stand-ups are there every week. They usually try to group the stand ups together to keep the comedy flow. Very respectful and warm group.

Salem’s only comedy specific open mic right now. Signups at 8, Show starts at 8:30. Good range of beginners to seasoned professionals.
