4 Shows in 4 Days!

The first weekend in October is going to be chock full of comedy! Salem usually gets 1-2 shows a month, but this particular week, the mid-valley is going to get 4 shows in a ROW!

Thursday and Friday has Willamette Valley’s Funniest Person Rico Starr, who won Willamette Comedy’s contest this year battling out 40 other comics in 4 different cities at nearly 10 different venues and consistently had higher scores than everyone. Thursday’s show is at the Shack and has Amanda Arnold featuring and Will Woodruff hosting. Friday’s show is at Indepizza and is a showcase with a few comics from Portland and Rico headlining. The Indepizza show has a cover charge.

Saturday night is the first ever comedy show at the Stonefront, save the W.V.F.P. competition final back in April. It’s called the “Spit Beer Out of Your Nose From Laughter” show and the Stonefront is a really cool venue with one of the best beer selections in town. Will Woodruff is headlining with Jared Richard at the helm of hosting duties and a smattering of Salem’s locals telling jokes at this brand new showcase.

Finally Sunday is the Open Laugh Off at Duffy’s Hangar, a monthly open mic giving away tickets to see Patton Oswalt at the Historic Elsinore Theater to the best comic of the evening based upon final applause, Will Woodruff has won the previous two. We’ll see who comes out on top in the October edition of Open Laugh-Off.

3 of the 4 shows are free! October 4-7 is the time for comedy in Salem!
